I am a leader within the firm's construction, maritime and agricultural practices, and have over thirteen years of experience providing comprehensive audit services to a diverse group of mid-sized private businesses. I stay up to date on local, national and global economic trends through my active involvement in various professional organizations within my practice areas, which allows me to provide valuable insight to my clients far beyond an audit opinion. _x000D_ _x000D_ My experience includes audits of construction, maritime, agricultural, and manufacturing and distribution companies throughout the United States. When I am not managing audits, I serve on various technical committees, which allow me to assist clients with their complex accounting needs. My dual designation as both a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner allows me to provide clients with non-traditional financial services ranging from fraud investigations to litigation support services. I've enjoyed my role on Briggs & Veselka's revenue recognition task force, assisting clients with their adoption of the new revenue recognition standards through the use of proprietary industry-specific tools and resources. _x000D_ _x000D_ Prior to my audit experience, I spent eight years in industry in various roles, which affords me the unique perspective of sitting on the other side of the table to better understand my clients' issues from their perspective. I am also active within Briggs & Veselka's training, recruiting and technology/innovation efforts, while overseeing all of the departments' new hire training programs.
